Walter “Killer” Kowalski passes away

WWE is saddened by the passing of one of wrestling’s most successful and revered stars, WWE Hall of Famer Walter “Killer” Kowalski. He was 81.Kowalski began his career in sports-entertainment in 1947, and wrestled extensively throughout the world for 30 years.

A devout vegetarian, Kowalski stood taller than most of his opponents in the ring. And, once the bell rang, he had a ruthless and relentless style that mentally helped him reel in victory after victory. He generally finished off his opponents with his signature Iron Claw.

Infamously known as the man who ripped off part of Yukon Eric’s ear during a 1954 match held in Montreal, his prowess within the squared-circle ensured that his opponents be at the top of their games.

Paul Heyman on why Vince loves Cena

Love him or hate him, John Cena is one of the biggest wrestlers in WWE today. Personally, I’m a big fan of Johns and appreciate everything he’s done for the business, all the work and time and effort he puts in it, for entertaining us and for taking his time out to spend with make a wish kids and everyday fans.

Paul Heyman recently did an interview with The Sun - on why Vince Mcmahon loves Cena and uses him as a top guy. It’ s very interesting read, check it out below!

John Cena underwent what was labelled “emergency surgery” on Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as world-renowned neurosurgeon Dr Joseph Maroon removed a large piece of disc material that was pressing into his spinal column.

Later that same day, Cena went to watch the Smackdown and ECW tapings taking place in the same city.

And you wonder why World Wrestling Entertainment Chairman Vince McMahon is so solidly behind the billion-dollar WWE machine promoting, marketing, and branding John Cena?

Whether he is your favorite wrestler to cheer, or you’re among those who truly enjoy booing his every move and word, Vince McMahon is rightfully Cena’s biggest advocate.

While I would dare suggest that Shawn Michaels is a superior in-ring performer, or that Edge has more range, or that Triple H understands “The Game” better than Cena, none of them can even hope to compare to his ability to serve the needs of World Wrestling Entertainment.

John Cena is single. No wife, no kids. He doesn’t mind being away from home for weeks, indeed months on end.

He doesn’t mind getting up at 5am to do media call-ins.

Finlay ‘The Sun’ Interview

David ‘Fit’ Finlay did an interview with The Sun today, he talks about his accomplishing his dream to become a wrestler, his family, WCW and much more. It’s pretty interesting, read it below.

The Belfast bruiser, from Carrickfergus, is a star wrestler in the multi-million dollar World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) business.

And he told SunSport he is proud of his colourful journey - from growing up in a troubled Belfast to cracking heads at the highest level across the Atlantic.

He said: “I would say I have exceeded the dreams that I ever had and have had a great life here, work for a great company and it’s really just amazing.”

He added: “I’ve been wrestling all my life, I was brought up in a family of wrestlers.”

Finlay was immersed in the sport from a young age, travelling the country with his family as his dad David organised some of the first wrestling bouts ever seen in Ireland.

And when the moment came for the teenager to step into the ring he was desperate to leave his mark.

“My father was a wrestler before me and still actually teaches kids in Greenisland just outside Carrick in the Knockagh wrestling club,” Finlay explained.

“We wrestled all the way through the Troubles with both my grandfathers, who were also in the wrestling business.

“My sister was a referee too and my mother helped my dad run the actual wrestling business.

“That was part of my training, teaching, and then suddenly I was wrestling myself.

“It just sort of happened by accident, my dad was running the show - it was 1974 in a place called Glin, someone didn’t show up and he said you’re going to have to go in there.

“So I had to wrestle. I put my dad’s boots on and his wrestling trunks on and away I went.

“I was a young kid and I wrestled people my father’s age.

Rock the Vote Mobile Election Bus News & Media

{Click Here To View 8x Photos From Rock the Vote Mobile Election Bus}

Jackie Vettorino (Fleishman- Hillard on behalf of AT&T) was so very kind as to send me some information regarding Candice Michelle and Batista at the Rock the Vote Mobile Election Bus. The photos were uploaded on an official Flickr account but we were given proper permission to post the images.

Heres the information I was told.

As you may know, the ultimate goal of Rock The Vote and AT&T is to reach out to youth voters this election season via text messages to help mobilize young voters and empower them
The RtV Mobile Election Vehicle, launching in partnership with AT&T, will be stationed at Youth HQ right outside the convention center. Vehicle features include:
· A PSA Recording Booth where visitors record their very own PSA/Rock the Vote message to share with friends online or via video text messaging (MMS)
· Two Voter Registration Bays with computer stations where young people can register to vote
· A Mobile Music Bay where concert-goers can download RTV-related content to their mobile device and sign up for an AT&T RTV text message short-code, RTVOTE (788683), to automatically receive voter registration and Election Day reminders, polls, political quizzes, celebrity messages, and mobilization alerts
· A Framerz Bay where guests can use a tethered camera phone to take photos with an RTV celebrity, presidential candidate or political icon
· A Convention Karaoke contest where political pundits and politicians are paired with Rock stars to sing (potentially bad) karaoke to urge young people to get out and vote.
